Meredith and Family

I had the pleasure of being invited into Meredith's home again this winter to capture this beautiful girl with her parents.  You may remember Meredith from our photo session that we did when she was five.  Now she's eight. She is strong and beautiful and loves her parents very much.

On a side note, I wanted to mention that Meredith's parents submitted one of my photos to a Valentine's Day photo contest at the Ottawa Citizen. It was taken at our first session three years ago.  Long story short, they won the contest and will enjoy a weekend away.  My photo was published in the Saturday edition of the paper about a month ago.  I'm delighted they won as they definitely deserve it.  I'm also pretty proud that it was my photo.

Meredith's mom, Julie is a talented writer and an all-round awesome person. You can't help but want to be her friend.  Please go now and visit her website: www.whatiwouldtellyou.com . She has written an amazing essay about her life as a mother of a daughter with cerebral palsy and writes a blog on the subject.  I dare you not to be moved by her words.

Meredith's dad, Tim, is a pretty great guy, too.

Seriously. Go now and visit www.whatiwouldtellyou.com .

Jonah

Meet Jonah, the most adorable little man with the sweetest parents and two very large, very protective four-legged 'aunts'.

Jonah's parents were gifted with a photo session at their baby shower.  I thought that was a fabulous idea!  Gift certificates are available in all denominations.

Luke is ONE!

What?! How did that happen?  This year has passed more quickly than any other year.
My baby went from this:

to this!

We call him Luker.
He is a happy child who has a smile for everyone.
These days it's the face-wrinkled-up kind of smile, all teeth and scrunchy nose.
He can crawl faster than me.
He bolts for the stairs when the gate is left open.
He has three words - Ball, Bath and Bye.
They all sound like this: BA!
He also says Da-da, Ma-ma and Pa-pa.
He gives high fives and blows kisses.
He adores his big brother.
He has learned how to get his way.
He still has almost no hair, but what's there is blond. (?)
He eats almost as much as me.
Ok, that's not true. I eat a lot. But he eats like a champ.
I love him.

Pam & Max - Engagement

It was an honour to meet Pam & Max the other day when we captured their love in their engagement photo session.  I'm excited to say that I'm photographing their wedding next summer. This will be my first wedding in the Montreal area, so that's pretty awesome.  They are super sweet and funny and fun and their wedding will be a blast!

Emily & Colin - After

After the ceremony and family photos we snuck away to do a few photos with just Emily & Colin.  Colin had it all planned out to recreate the iconic painting American Gothic.  He even had the pitchfork at the ready!

A big thank you again to Angela Stone Butterworth for helping me out with this wedding. She really is an excellent photographer!

Emily & Colin - During

The front yard of Emily's parents' farmhouse was the ideal setting for this wedding. The weather was perfect... well, it was perfect for the guests who were in the shade.  The bride and groom were standing in the bright sun. The guests brought bells to ring to celebrate the happy couple. The groom's sister in law read an adorable story about two little dinosaurs.  Sweet.

Emily & Colin - Before

Emily and Colin are sweet, humble and full of laughter.  Their wedding ceremony was a most casual affair held on the front lawn at her parents' farm.

For this wedding I had the help of a wonderful photographer, Angela Stone Butterworth, who you may remember from when she was a beautiful bride bride herself. Thanks Ange, your work is beautiful!
