After the ceremony and family photos we snuck away to do a few photos with just Emily & Colin.  Colin had it all planned out to recreate the iconic painting American Gothic.  He even had the pitchfork at the ready!

The front yard of Emily's parents' farmhouse was the ideal setting for this wedding. The weather was perfect... well, it was perfect for the guests who were in the shade.  The bride and groom were standing in the bright sun. The guests brought bells to ring to celebrate the happy couple. The groom's sister in law read an adorable story about two little dinosaurs.  Sweet.

Emily and Colin are sweet, humble and full of laughter.  Their wedding ceremony was a most casual affair held on the front lawn at her parents' farm.

As the sun started to set after the ceremony, the light was so wonderfully warm and we took full advantage.  Unfortunately, the air temperature wasn't quite as warm and the poor ladies froze!  Thanks for being such good sports and toughing it out!

Miriam & Cameron - Part One

I'm going to post this beautiful wedding as a series of posts because there are just so many pictures that I love there's no way to choose only a few.  Miriam and Cameron are the sweetest couple and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing their wedding.  My husband, Kirk, made his debut as my assistant and he was fantastic!  I think he's got himself a job. It wouldn't be because he's used to me bossing him around or something... no, that couldn't be it ; )

Kristen & Philip

What a pleasure it was photographing Kristen & Philip's wedding!  I hadn't seen Phil since highschool and I had never met Kristen before, but they both made me feel like an old friend.  They planned their wedding to take place just before Phil's brother was deployed to Afghanistan to fight for our country. 

I'm back!

Hello again! It's been so long since I've done a post. Not that I'm making excuses, but I've been busy... good busy! We had a wonderful trip to Alberta in early March and since getting back I've had five wonderful photo sessions - two great friends with baby bumps, two adorable baby girls, and one fabulous wedding. I'm planning on blogging about all of them, but for now here is a sneak peek of what's to come in the next few weeks.

Dana & Bryce

Dana & Bryce were wed on a lovely day this past October. Well, it was mostly a lovely day.  It poured down buckets of rain, just as we were starting the formal shots in the park.  How's that for luck!

This was only the second wedding I've ever photographed and I can honestly say, it was one of the most stressful days of my life!  It was such a great learning experience.

I had a hard time picking just a handful of shots to show here. I could easily do two or three more posts of my favourites... and I just may do that, too!

A while back, I got together with my good friends, Nicole and Jason to capture a few stunning images of them in their wedding gear. It's pretty easy to make beautiful photos when the models are so ridiculously goodlooking!
